Sick and, Therefore, Tired…
5 June 2007 by Brian.
Just a quick note to let you all know that I’ve been sick and unable to blog, but I’m going to try to get back to it this evening or tomorrow at the latest.
Thanks for your patience!

Thanks for Praying
22 May 2007 by Brian.
I passed Part 3 of the Enrolled Agent exam today. Thanks for your prayers! I truly believe they made a difference, as there were several items on the test which I hadn’t studied. Praise be to God!

Prayer request…
21 May 2007 by Brian.
I’m taking Part 3 of the Enrolled Agent’s exam tomorrow, so there won’t be a real post tonight. I would appreciate your prayers for the test tomorrow. (This is the first of the three parts that I’ll be taking.)
Thanks!

Time to Make the Doughnuts…
9 April 2007 by Brian.
I thoroughly enjoy my opportunities to get on my computer and share my thoughts – or point you to someone else’s – and even to interact with some of you from time to time. I plan to continue for as long as God grants me the ability and the freedom to do so. However, duty calls and since blogging doesn’t help me pay the bills, I must devote much of my energy over the next several months to study for a professional certification exam. (It’s an exam which I must pass in order to be licensed to practice before the IRS and will enable me to actually adequately provide for our family, financially speaking.)
I will continue to blog regularly, but my posts may not be quite so long and (hopefully they have been) thought provoking. I’ll do my best to get something out which will be helpful, but if I fail to meet your standards in the coming months, that’s just the price I’ll have to pay in order to fulfill my responsibility to Alison and the boys. If you find yourself disinterested, check back in with me this summer or in the fall and hopefully I’ll be both an Enrolled Agent AND a better blogger at that time!
My main reason for letting you know all of this is so you can pray for me. We really do have quite a financial challenge, as our son has many extra needs. These needs require more money than the average child’s, in order to have him successfully educated. I firmly believe that God will provide for us and that this certification is part of that provision.
Thank you for praying and thank you for your patience with me while I study! If anyone else has prayer requests they’d like to share with our little community, post them in the comments. (Praises welcome, too!)

Damascus Nancy?
1 April 2007 by Brian.
I wish the dateline on this story was 1 April, but it looks like Nancy Pelosi really wants to align herself with Syria…unbelievable. (Not that I have a lot of faith in Turkey, but Syria?!?)
